Dawgs End the Regular Season with a W!

08/10/2017 2:22 PM -
After a lead off walk and stolen base from Nerissa Myers, Brittany Cervantes hits to left field causing a bobble allowing Myers to score. A textbook bunt from Britt Vonk puts runners on the corners for Allexis Bennett. Vonk advances herself to second with a steal. Bennett hits a hard ball to shortstop, Sam Fischer, who bobbles the ball and throws the ball away. Cervantes and Vonk score off the wild throw and Bennett takes second to make the score 3-0 after the first half inning.

A lead off homerun in the top of the third from Cervantes puts the Dawgs up by four!

Racers answer back in the bottom of the third with a single from Kelley Montalvo and a shot to right center from Griffin Joiner to drive in Montalvo.

In the top of the seventh, Dawgs add to their lead with another RBI from Cervantes.

Final score is Dawgs 5, Racers 2.
